Would you be interested in developing a Bendigo Tweed Ride?
To make an official event, we will first get together and see what works. To help establish what the ride will look like, all you have to do is join in on
April 2
At 11am
We’ll gather at the giant Bendigo sign at the entrance to Rosalind Park. We’ll check out each other’s outfits and have our spectators choose a picnic spot inside the park.
The riders will then discuss a route (we have the basis of one for us to build from on the day) and will try it out to see if it works for our official event proposal. The riding part should take 30-45 minutes.
We will finish the ride back at Rosalind Park to join our spectators for a picnic under the shady autumn trees.
At the picnic, we will have a link with a survey to collate everyone’s thoughts.
I know a few of you are really passionate about the fashion side of the event so I will get a limited number of rosettes for the best dressed.
We will also take photos throughout the day that we will use to promote the official event.
Our exploratory ride will aim to find the best route that is 6-12km long, looks at lovely parts of Bendigo and avoids excessive hills. To take part as a rider should be confident to ride on the road and follow all road rules.
See you there!
