Description
After 10-years of riding, we’re excited to have a celebratory illustration from Ballarat’s most iconic illustrator: Travis Price.
Matching a series of long-running tourism poster prints made by Travis through Paley Print Co. The print features a woman on a bicycle, with the postcode for Ballarat on her bike basket. In the background is the Civic Hall where the Ballarat Tweed Fair was held in 2022. The cyclist is smiling, pearl earrings shining and wearing a beautiful tartan print dress.
The print captures the original spelling of ‘Ballaarat’ with the double-A. The city name comes from a local indigenous term ‘balla arat’ meaning resting place. The double-A spelling gradually fell out of use in the 1990s.
This poster is 520mm x720mm and printed on luxury art paper. It will fit into an A1 frame with an elegant border around the print.
