Illustrated Ballarat Map


A2 hand-illustrated map of Ballarat, made over 34 hours by Liana, founder of the Ballarat Tweed Ride. It was created using letter writing ink and water as well as fine liner pens and features in relief a small number of the notable monuments and buildings seen on the Ballarat Tweed Ride. Printed on luxury paper which makes the art look like an original copy.


Each ride we navigate the gorgeous streets of Ballarat and we’ve got to know how to find our way somehow. Enter this gorgeous illustrated map of Ballarat made by ride founder Liana. This is a to-scale A2 map with featured line drawings of a small number of the historic features that riders see when cycling around the city. Printed locally in Ballarat on luxury paper.

The map was hand-drawn over a 36 hours using a fine liner, complemented by traditional ink to capture the outlines of the city blocks.
